PRINCE Alfred College (PAC) is proud to offer boarding scholarships to boys who demonstrate outstanding character, leadership potential, and a commitment to academic and personal growth. Located on the fringe of the Adelaide Parklands, PAC provides a nurturing environment where every boy will find his place.
Headmaster David Roberts shared “we believe that potential should never be limited by geography or circumstance”.
“Our Boarding Scholarships provide opportunities for boys to explore their passions and develop into confident, well-rounded young men,” he said.
Boarding at PAC is more than a place to stay – it is a place that fosters life-long friendships and independence all within a community that feels like home.
The boarding house facilities, built in 2019, includes 150 rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Junior students share a double room, while seniors have the extra privacy of a single room.
Students enjoy the outstanding food prepared each day by the in-house catering team and the boys appreciate the service provided by the on-site laundry team.
“Our boarders enjoy access to exceptional facilities, dedicated staff and a wide range of co-curricular opportunities,” Mr Roberts said.
“Our tailored approach to boys’ education encourages active engagement, hands-on learning, and strong mentoring relationships. We focus on building character as much as academic success as we help boys grow into respectful, capable young men prepared to contribute positively to their communities.”
Boarding staff, led by director of boarding Phil Noble, encourage all boarders to make a positive impact on the stories of others, through connection and contribution to our community.
“Whether it be supporting the family farm, helping neighbours through difficult times or cooking barbeques and running water for their local sporting team – our boys know the importance of all hands in,” Mr Noble said.
“Building the capacity in our boys to be engaged, empathetic and community-focussed citizens is one of the things we take immense pride in.
“We recently published our 16th edition of the Boarders’ Herald as part of our Boarders’ Week activities. This publication is a celebration of boarding life, the small things and the extraordinary experiences boys enjoy.
“Our boarding captain Angus Hall, and the editorial team, did an exceptional job of creating a window into our boarders’ lives and their invaluable contribution to the spirit of the college.”
Boarding scholarships are available to students from regional and remote areas, as well as those seeking to join our warm boarding community from across Australia and beyond. Scholarships to PAC provide access to a world-class education and the chance to join a tradition of excellence that spans over 155 years.
